Kicking off an excellent Eugene Beer Week, we welcome Bohall, Juarez and Rogers to our lawn stage. Robert Bohall, Nathan Juarez and David Rogers play a program of Jazz, Brazilian Choro and Baroque music on guitar, keyboard and percussion. The Choro tradition began in Brazil in the late 19th century. South America, being as much a cultural melting pot as North America, blended music of numerous cultures. The Choro repertoire mixes European, African and Native South American music into a fun, vibrant and danceable mix. European Baroque music always featured improvisation and ornamentation as necessary elements. The trio will also play a wide variety of jazz pieces.
As always, shows are all-ages and free for everyone.
