ALEXANDER EAST (Planet East Music, Discothèque Radio, Manic Mondays)
Alexander is well known world wide in the electronic music scene particularly for his work in house music. He's a phenomenal house music producer, instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter who has been involved in the house music community since the 1990s and has dropped many classic Chicago House tracks over the decades.
You can see him perform live once a month on Discothèque Radio 97.3FM KEPW which is a live dj broadcast every Sat night from 10pm - Midnight. He's also on the decks in residency at Cowfish in Eugene every Monday night for those who love to dance it out and appreciate inspiring house music mixes that are sure to take the crowd on a journey.

As you'll hear at our enjoyable day party at PublicHouse, Alexander East has a distinctive style that blends elements of soul, jazz, and funk with classic and deep house. He's well-regarded for his vocal skills as a prodigy, his live instrumentalism with guitars and live samples, all contribute his ability to craft tracks that are both emotive, moving, inspiring and very danceable. With a career spanning decades, he has made significant contributions to the electronic music scene, both as a solo artist and through collaborations with industry heavyweights including Shur-I-Kan, Derrick Carter, Fred Everything, Jay Tripwire, and Magik Johnson to name a few. His music is characterized by its rich melodies, intricate rhythms, and an undeniable groove that consistently captivates and moves audiences.
Alexander's journey in music quickly evolved starting deep in the world of hip hop and journeying into true house music production from the early 1990's into a full-fledged career marked by numerous exceptional releases, acclaimed performances, and consistently creating a deep connection with his fans. His versatility as a musician, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist has allowed him to push the boundaries of electronic music, making him a true pioneer and a respected figure in the industry.
JACOB POE (Portland - Radda Records)
When Jacob was first introduced to the electronic underground music scene in 1997, he was immediately drawn to the irresistible sound and started getting his hands on every type of underground music he could find in his hometown of Portland. Soon after that, he made his mark in the local scene as a House Music DJ. Since emerging onto the scene, Jacob has performed at various clubs and outdoor festivals in nearby states such as Montana, Washington, and as far away as Venice, Italy. Jacob is never the type of musician who adheres strictly to one style or genre of music. He combines his love of Soulful Deep House with chunky, banging Tech House, Breaks, Techno, Drum & Bass, Melodic and Afro House, and Funky Jackin Disco. He finds the perfect balance between different styles of music and rides that wave to its crest, much to the delight of his steady, sweaty dance floor followers.
These days, you can find Jacob Poe working in the production studio, creating new material. The sounds that once drew him to collecting music and performing live now influence him in the studio as he makes his own original material. His love of funky, soulful, afro, deep, techy, banging beats with hints of disco, jazz, and hip hop is clearly defined in his creations, and it's clear that he's dedicated to creating his own unique sound. Jacob has released tracks on multiple labels and all have been quite successful. Matt Becker (Discothèque Radio)
Back in the mid 90's Becker discovered house and techno music as a teenager. He was instantly hooked. In early '98 he bought a set of Technics SL1200 turntables and his journey began.. Fast forward over 2 decades later and his passion for techno and house is as strong as ever. For over two decades he played strictly techno, but recently has started playing house music under the moniker; Mr. B the Funky Technician. Finally after all these years, 2021 began the journey into music production and/or jam sessions on the machines.
Matt remains a staple of the Eugene underground electronic scene and is easily well received on any decks instantly showing his decades of precision in danceable Chicago/Jackin House styles that are sure to make your body move! He's also an exceptional live hardware techno performer yet will be taking the crowd on an enjoyable house music journey at our day time party with Sunshine Grooves. He will also be performing live from Discothèque Radio later this evening at 11pm-Midnight on 97.3FM KEPW.
Soulcaller (Sunshine Grooves, Beats & Boards, Discothèque Radio, Liquid Sunshine Club, Rose City Underground)
DJ Soulcaller, aka Jesse Lewis, is a performer with over 14 years behind the decks as a DJ, VJ, event and fest planner originally hailing from the underground dance music communities of Seattle where he was a resident task rabbit at the esteemed Spy parties and especially in Portland where he was a resident DJ of Rose City Underground and a key producer of the former Synesthesia Arts & Music Festival. He has performed on radio stations in Portland, California and Tulum, as well as net radio broadcasts with Current Productions Radio, Chicago House FM, Flight and Sugar Shack Recordings. He also currently curates several events including Discothèque Radio every Sat night from 10pm-midnight on 97.3fm KEPW, Sunshine Grooves summer daytime event series at PublicHouse, and is an acting event manager working on infrastructure needs at the Liquid Sunshine Club featuring Stacey Pullen liquidsunshine.club. He also helps curate Eugene's unique Beats & Boards event featuring live djs and board games every Monday at Beergarden. His music styles range from Drum N Bass, Chicago House, Deep House, Techno, Tech House, Ethereal Techno and Broken Beats. He plans to kick off our Sunshine Grooves event on July 22nd with a tasty Disco house infused set aimed at bringing in the perfect sun ray danceable vibes.
