Young Jim Carr is a Chicago born,Colorado raised singer song writer currently based in Eugene Or. Young Jim's songs try to convey his longing for truth and love in his own unique poetic way.
Young Jim Carr got his nickname back in the late 80's when he was a roadie for a touring band called Little Woman. While on the road he bought a guitar from a second hand store and started playing. Working for the band Little Woman taught Young Jim that there is more to music than what is on the radio.. The most influential person for Young Jim is Portland Or. Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Joseph who indirectly taught Young Jim that the music must come from the heart to convey truth.
Young Jim recently released his first record called The Box. which is a concept record taking you on a journey through the personal struggles of love lost and a longing to find real love.
